Property Taxes

 

 

 

-        Summer 08 taxes are now delinquent and can be paid at the township hall until February 28, 2009.  Call the township hall to obtain penalty information on delinquent 2008 Summer taxes at (269) 684-7262.

-        Payments for summer taxes will be accepted from July 1, 2008 thru the due

   date of September 15, 2008 without penalty. 

   Office hours are Monday 9 am - 5 pm, Wednesday 9 am-1 pm, and           

   Friday 9 am -5 pm or by appointment.

-  Remember if you do not receive your tax bill it is your responsibility to 

   contact the township.

Homestead Exemptions

All Homestead Exemptions must be filed by May 1 of any year for the owner to qualify for the exemption.  Remember it is the responsibility of the owner ensure their homestead exemption. After February 28, 2009, all delinquent property tax must be paid at the Cass County Treasurer’s office in Cassopolis.

Dog Licenses

 

All 2008 Dog Licenses can be purchased at the Milton Township office after December 1 and through February 28, 2009.  After February 29, 2009, all dog licenses must be purchased at the Cass County Treasurer’s office in Cassopolis.

 

Regular Fees:

 

Puppies 4-6 months:  ($10)

Spayed or neutered dogs:   ($10)

Unspayed/un-nuetered:    ($25.00)

 

Always remember to bring with you your veterinarian's paperwork verifying that your dog's rabies shots are current and showing the expiration date.

 

If your dog is spayed or neutered, you will also need to verify

 this with paperwork from your veterinarian in order to qualify for the lesser fee.

 

Please bring verification of all these things EACH time

you purchase or renew a license, even if nothing has changed since the last time you bought one.
